So it's been a pretty "blah" Thursday so far...office is relatively quiet with very little chatter which is making the day go by pretty slow. (It feels like I've been here since birth & yet it's only 10:45am!!! FML!)
I went out last night to see "The Adjustment Bureau" with Matt Damon & Emily Blunt. Have to say, I really enjoyed it! There's something about the stories that Phillip K. Dick writes that I've always loved and they managed to translate this one to the screen quite well, imho. Matt Damon is turning into one of those people who you just like & want to watch it seems. (He's kinda like Tom Cruise or Mel Gibson were, before Cruise started jumping on furniture and Mel got to acting all batshit crazy.) He plays the charming politician willing to give everything to find and have the woman he loves despite the odds being more than stacked against his success.
This would be a great date movie - there's enough action & suspense for the guys but at its heart The Adjustment Bureau is a love story so the ladies should love it too. (And hello, Matt Damon is in it....*meeeoowww*)

Going out last night, I didn't have to worry about missing any shows (like makeover night on ANTM or (hopefully) seeing Russell booted off Survivor) because a few weeks ago I set all my series recordings up and now all I have to do is see what's waiting for me when I want to watch the tube. It's hard to believe only 30yrs ago, we barely had remote controls and a handful of channels...kids today would feel like they were being punished if they had to live with the programming & technology of those days in the modern world. Heck, I would feel punished too!!! Between HD, hundreds of channels (but nothing on) & streaming direct to your TV via a gaming console or your computer, it's never been a better time to be a couch potato. Closing Thought
