Well I hit my first blogging roadblock - had nothing to really talk about (at least that I thought would be interesting/amusing enough for your viewing pleasures) but with the goading of my pal Jenn (aka WilliamsGirl) and her assurances that she was "dying", I knew what I had to do!
So......how was your weekend? LOL
I watched the Kings Speech and I gotta say, that show was amazing! Definitely one of the best movies I've seen this year and certainly deserving of all the awards it's received. The story was so well told with beautiful camera work and overall ambience that the superb cast could do nothing other than shine in that setting.
If you haven't managed to catch it yet, you should rent it....Guys - it should get you points for sitting thru it with the wife/GF (& you might even like it despite the lack of explosions & car chases). Ladies, don't you want to cuddle up to your man and pretend he's Colin Firth? *mrrrroooow*
(Author's Note: Colin Firth remains high on my personal list of celebs that I'd enjoy having coffee/dinner/sex with.....just tell me where to line up and curtsy! I mean seriously, he's been Mr. Darcy (the wet shirt!), Mark Darcy (who likes me just the way I am) & now the King of England?...More please!!!)

Apparently on a total British kick, I also downloaded 3 seasons' worth of the latest incarnation of Dr. Who (from 2005 fwd). For a brief explanation of what the Doctor is all about, check out Craig Ferguson's cold opening from awhile ago when he had Matt Smith (the 11th Doctor) on.
I blame Craig Ferguson (@craigyferg) & Chris Hardwick (@nerdist) for this as they always pimp Dr. Who on the Late Late Show which I PVR nightly so I don't miss anything (stupid getting up for work thing!). I've been making my way thru the 9th Doctor, aka Christopher Eccleston, since Saturday and am just biding my time till David Tennant shows up.
For some odd reason, Dr. Who was completely idiotic to me back when I was a kid & Tom Baker was the Doctor but it's totally caught my attention now. (At least I'm not so far gone as to order my own Sonic Screwdriver tho!)
